The championship is organized by the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, National Olympic Committee, Uzbekistan Boxing Federation and other organizations to promote Olympic sports, in particular boxing among youth, as well as to identify and encourage young talents and include them in the national team.
The Championship, which will continue until October 27, involves 301 boxers in 15 weight categories.
