Within the framework of mobile communication network development, 2,933 base stations were installed and launched this year. Moreover, more than three thousand stations have been upgraded based on 3G/4G.
It was also noted that with cooperation of the UN office in Uzbekistan and the IT park, a competition of innovative ideas was held to combat the coronavirus and mitigate its consequences. The competition received over 600 applications in 8 areas, including healthcare, assistance to the needy segments of the population, education, support for small business.
Deputies expressed their views on elimination of a number of problems and shortcomings in implementation and management of information technologies and communications, the provision of quality information services.
